Giraffe Art Term 4 Week 7
Our intergrated unit this term has encouraged us to look at how humans have a positive and negative impact on animals. We have learnt about what the SPCA does for the animals in our community and we helped them out by bringing donations to school. We also listened to a hunter's point of view about the different reasons people hunt for animals. You can ask us how we feel about hinting as we all have our own opinions! Check out our giraffe art work we did with Mrs Hughes this week. We have them displayed on the wall outside our classroom. Here are a couple of examples below.

D-R-A-M-A
This term our big focus is on the whole school production which will happen at the end of this term. So, to prepare for that we have spent some time in class performing plays for each other as well as leaning various drama games. Our confidence as performers is growing daily! Check out what we have been learning so far this term.
Birthday Party
The first day back at school also happened to be my birthday. I couldn't think of a better way than to share it with Epic Eight by having a party! We made our own party hats and played some of my favourite party games from my childhood.
Ashhurst Domain end of term breakup
To celebrate the end of what has been an incredible term, the Middle Syndicate spent the day completing the Manawatu Gorge Loop Track followed by a shared lunch at Ashhurst Domain. We had heaps of fun and felt very successful for completing the walk without a fuss.

Easter Egg Art 24.03.16
Today we decorated our very own Easter Eggs. We used crayons to draw the decorations and patterns. We then used dye to paint overtop. They will be displayed in class as Easter Egg Bunting. Pop in and check them out!
Teach the Teacher! Millie McLean 24.03.16
Millie was our teacher this week. She brought along her loom bands and had the entire class excited about making loom bracelets and rings! Millie explained the instructions slowly and carefully making sure that everyone was able to follow along. It was amazing to watch her in the teacher role.
